Previously approved customers, login and click on the "Get Approved to Bid" button when the auction is available online, do this before 6:45pm the night the auction ends.
Viewing will be by appointment only and can be set up after the vehicles are listed.
Additions & / or deletions may be made without notice - Please inspect vehicles during preview prior to bidding.
All vehicles and equipment are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS with all it's faults and without warranty, expressed or implied.
Title Brands are determined by the state issuing the title. Typical brands found on titles are: "rebuilt," "salvage history," "flood," "not actual miles," etc.
Older Vehicles: Vin numbers on vehicles older than 7/1/1980 may be less than 17 digits
Older vehicles, late 1980-early 1990's may only have a 5-digit odometer.
Miles listed are what the odometer reads and may not be true unless we state "actual".
Miles: any vehicle 10 years and older will come back with "Exempt" on title.
DOT# on heavy trucks: Buyers will need to provide, for vehicle licensing, a DOT number and a federal EIN/TIN that is associated with the DOT number. The DOT# is not needed if registered TPO (title purposes only $42) but a 3-day move permit will be require, $33.

Vehicles: 9.5%
FILING FEES: $184.25 and up determined by the weight of the vehicle and your home location.
Additional fees will apply on heavy trucks such as dump trucks, lift trucks, and others.
Regarding Licensing: Stokes Auction, as an automobile dealer will charge the buyer of each vehicle the appropriate filing fees required by the State of Washington. These fees include the cost of plates and tabs. New plates AND a full 12 months registration will be issued at cost to the buyer and Stokes Auction will issue a temporary 45-day paper plate for each vehicle sold. The average “filing fee” for a passenger vehicle is $224.25 and goes up from there depending on scale weight and if you live in an RTA or TBD zone. Buyer's may opt to not purchase license plates and tabs and pay for "title purposes only" or "TPO." The cost of "TPO" is $42.00, however, the vehicle will not come with license or tabs and no 45 day permit, as such, the buyer will need to provide or purchase a 3-day move permit at the cost of $33 or trailer the vehicle from our property.
ALL vehicle buyer’s will be required to show their valid driver’s license
Out-of-state buyer
Be prepared to provide two forms of ID showing your name and matching out of state address. You will be required to provide either a legal license plate for transport, a trailer or a three day move permit. (We may have these on hand for purchase, they cost $33). Also, it is the out-of-state buyer's responsibility to verify the vehicle they are buying is legal in their state and that the title work, or releases will be sufficient.
Do be aware that a Washington release of interest (ROL) will not be sufficient to use outside this state. Any vehicle sold with a ROL to an out-of-state buyer must be processed within Washington, this means sales tax and filing fees will be collected.
